Penn-CHOP Blood Center

The Penn-CHOP Blood Center for Patient Care and Discovery is a collaborative program between hematology and laboratory specialists at Penn Medicine and The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). The Penn-CHOP Blood Center is one of the few blood cell disorders centers in the United States designed to provide the full spectrum of research and clinical care for non-malignant hematologic blood cell disorders. The inter-departmental collaboration includes specialists from the Division of Hematology/Oncology in the Department of Medicine at Penn, the Division of Hematology at CHOP, the Transfusion Medicine and Therapeutic Pathology Division in the Penn Medicine Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics (ITMAT), and the Penn-CHOP Comprehensive Bone Marrow Failure Center.
