Genome Center for Alzheimer’s Disease Receives $20 Million Five-Year Renewal Grant

The Penn Neurodegeneration Genomics Center (PNGC) in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine announced that the Genome Center for Alzheimer’s Disease (GCAD) has received a 5-year grant renewal from the National Institute on Aging (NIA) totaling $20 million to continue their work. The GCAD, a collaborative research center between Penn, Boston University, Case Western Reserve University, Columbia University, the University of Miami, and the University of Indiana, aims to identify AD-related genes and eventual therapeutic targets by coordinating Alzheimer’s disease (AD) genetic data.
