2015 William Pepper Fellowship Award for Pathology Resident Dr. Carlos Villa

Carlos Villa, MD, PhD, a third-year resident in the Clinical Pathology Program, was selected as this year’s William Pepper Fellowship awardee by the Clinical Pathology faculty. This honorary award, established during the William Pepper Laboratory Centennial celebration in 1995, recognizes the outstanding achievements of a resident in academic Laboratory Medicine, specifically acknowledging contributions to clinical service, teaching and research. Previous recipients have gone on to successful careers in academic pathology. The award consists of a framed certificate and $1,000 stipend from a professional development fund for use in the upcoming academic fellowship year at Penn.
