2016 William Pepper Fellowship Award Recipients

Suzanne Thibodeaux, MD, PhD, a third-year resident in the Combined Anatomic Pathology & Clinical Pathology Program, and Craig Soderquist, MD, a Hematopathology Fellow, are the recipients of this year’s William Pepper Fellowship. This honorary award, established during the William Pepper Laboratory Centennial celebration in 1995 and bestowed by the Clinical Pathology faculty, recognizes the outstanding achievements of a resident or fellow in the Clinical Pathology Program, specifically acknowledging contributions to clinical service, teaching and research. The award consists of a framed certificate and a $1,000 stipend from a professional development fund for, use in the upcoming academic fellowship year at Penn. Previous recipients have gone on to successful careers in academic pathology. Drs. Thibodeaux and Soderquist will both continue their clinical pathology training within the Department as fellows in the Divisions of Transfusion Medicine and Precision & Computational Diagnostics, respectively, starting July 1, 2016.
