The Blood Bank in the Division of Transfusion Medicine and Therapeutic Pathology was accredited by the AABB until September 30, 2019, and cited for its quality and operational systems to meet or exceed the rigorous requirements set by the association. Accreditation was extended for the performance of donor center activities, cell therapy activity (HPC-collection, processing, storage, distribution), and transfusion activities. The AABB accreditation follows inspection of the Division by FACT, CAP, and FDA within the last six months.
