The 3rd edition of Endosonography (eds. Hawes, Fockens, Varadarajulu, Elsevier 2014) has won First Prize from the British Medical Association (BMA) for best textbook in the 2015 Internal Medicine category. Prizes are awarded in 21 categories based on the books' applicability to audience, production quality, and originality. For Endosonography, Department faculty member Darshana Jhala, MD, MBBS, contributed a chapter on Endoscopic Ultrasound-Guided Tissue Acquisition: Cytology Primer for Endosonographers."
