A new study in Cell Reports by researchers from the University of Pennsylvania identifies a molecular link between DNA damage, cellular senescence and premature aging. Dr. F. Bradley Johnson, is one of the co-authors of the paper "DNA-Damage-Induced Type I Interferon Promotes Senescence and Inhibits Stem Cell Function."
