New Study on Donor T Cell Characteristics for Stem-Cell Transplant Patients with Blood Cancers

A new study in the Journal of Clinical Oncology suggests that using a simple blood test to measure the T lymphocyte count in donors for stem cell transplants may help identify the best match for patients in need of an allogeneic stem-cell transplant and may optimize donor selection for older patients with hematologic malignancies.
