Teaching Award for Dr. Robert Doms

The 2015 graduating class of the Perelman School of Medicine has selected Robert Doms, MD, PhD, to be the recipient of the Medical Student Government Basic Science Teaching Award. Each year, the graduating class honors one clinician and one basic scientist in recognition of their excellence in teaching. The award is a tribute to exceptional teaching skills and commitment and dedication to medical education.  

Dr. Robert Doms is pathologist-in-chief and chair of pathology and laboratory medicine at CHOP and professor of pathology and laboratory medicine at the Perleman School of Medicine. He is the former chairman of the department of microbiology at Perelman and co-director of the microbiology course for medical students.
