Summary
The Division of Laboratory Medicine took part in a clinical trial on reducing unnecessary testing and the high costs associated with them in healthcare. A new study, led by Penn Medicine researchers and The Wharton School and published in JAMA Internal Medicine, now finds that that simply displaying the Medicare allowable fees in EHR did not have an overall impact on how clinicians ordered these tests.
