NIH Award to Launch Center for Genetics and Genomics of Alzheimer’s Disease

Drs. Gerard Schellenberg and Li-San Wang are leading a research joint venture to launch the Coordinating Center for Genetics and Genomics of Alzheimer’s Disease funded by a $10.8 million NIH award in collaboration with five other institutions -- Boston University, Case Western Reserve University, Columbia University, the University of Miami, and the University of Indiana. The new center will stimulate collaborations between hundreds of U.S. and international Alzheimer’s genetics researchers by aggregating and analyzing very large data sets and sharing the results.
