$7.5 Million NIH Grant Renewal for Dementia Research

The National Institute on Aging of the National Institutes of Health has awarded Virginia M.-Y. Lee, PhD, the John H. Ware 3rd Endowed Professor in Alzheimer's Research, a $7.5 million, five-year renewal grant to expand a Penn-based comprehensive research program studying the origins and progression of frontotemporal dementia. Department members Drs. Vivianna Van Deerlin, John Trojanowski, and Gerard Schellenberg are also included in the grant.
