A lengthy article in the March issue of the alumni magazine The Pennsylvania Gazette describers the origins and development of the T-cell therapy now known CTL019. This major therapeutic leap "from the fringes of gene therapy to the center of a revolutionary approach to cancer treatment" was spearheaded by the "T-Cell Warriors" at Penn, featuring Department members Drs. Carl June, Bruce Levine, Mike Milone, and Don Siegel.
