Irving Nachamkin, DrPH, MPH, D(ABMM), Professor and Director, Division of Laboratory Medicine, has been appointed Chair of the “Ad Hoc Committee on Evidence-based Laboratory Medicine Practice Guidelines Assessment” by the Professional Practice Committee of the American Society for Microbiology (ASM) for a three-year term. Assessment of Laboratory Medicine Practice Guidelines is part of a cooperative agreement between the ASM and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) to the ensure the development of transparent, rigorous evidence-based guidelines.
