Kevin Alby, PhD, Assistant Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Assistant Director of the Clinical Microbiology Laboratory, was recently certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Microbiology (ABMM). Diplomate status certifies rigorous educational and experiential eligibility requirements and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to direct laboratories that are engaged in the microbiological diagnosis of human disease. The ABMM was established in 1959 and is one of three boards of the American College of Microbiology to administer certification programs.
