Agata M. Bogusz, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Department, was one of the 19 recipients of the McCabe Fund Pilot Award for 2015-16. The McCabe awards were established in 1969 by a generous gift from Thomas B. and Jeannette E. Laws McCabe to the Perelman School of Medicine. The purpose of this gift is to support junior faculty who initiate fresh and innovative basic or clinical biomedical/surgical research projects that could lead to continued funding and productive research. The McCabe awards have provided important junior faculty start-up funding for over 40 years.
