Nature Biotechnology Identifies World’s Top 20 Translational Researchers

A Nature Biotechnology data analysis has identified biotech's top translational researchers for 2016, which factors in the researchers' most-cited patent for the prior five years and their H index. Four faculty members affiliated with the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine in the University of Pennsylvania are among the top 20. The most-cited patents were granted during the period of 2012-2016 to Drs. David B. Weiner, Emeritus Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, James Wilson, the former John Herr Musser Professorship of Research Medicine in Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and now the Rose H. Weiss Orphan Disease Center Director's Professor, Carl June, the Richard W. Vague Professor in Immunotherapy, and Jian Yan, a Postdoctoral Researcher of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine in the Weiner Lab.
