President-Elect of the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics

Malek Kamoun, MD, PhD, Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, has been elected President-Elect of the American Society for Histocompatibility and Immunogenetics (ASHI) and will join its Board of Directors. The Board functions as the active governing body of the Society and is responsible for accomplishing the established goals and objectives of the ASHI, an international society of professionals dedicated to advancing the science, education, and application of immunogenetics and transplant immunology.
Dr. Kamoun will begin his one-year term as President-Elect at the 39th Annual Meeting in November in Chicago and become President of the ASHI in 2014.
