Dr. Michael Milone Receives National Clinical Research Achievement Award

Michael C. Milone, MD, PhD, is one of the recipients of this year's National Clinical Research Achievement Awards, which recognize the year’s 10 most outstanding research papers written by teams from across the nation. Dr. Milone is the co-senior author of the 2016 Science paper "Reengineering chimeric antigen receptor T cells for targeted therapy of autoimmune disease" that was selected as one of the ten to receive the award in a ceremony by the Clinical Research Forum during its annual meeting in Washington, D.C., on April 18. Transfusion Medicine clinical fellow Dr. Vijay Bhoj is second author of the paper. Formed in 1996, the Clinical Research Forum convenes annually to allow industry leaders to discuss issues facing the field, best practices, and promote understanding and support for clinical research and its impact on health and healthcare.
