Dr. Zubair Baloch Elected to Executive Board of the American Society of Cytopathology

Zubair Baloch, MD, PhD, Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, has been elected to the American Society of Cytopathology (ASC) Executive Board. The results of the election were officially announced on November 6th at the 64th ASC Annual Scientific Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana. The ASC Executive Board serves as the steering group for the general management of the Society, including approval of the annual budget and Committee appointments. Executive Board Members are elected to serve a four-year term on the Board. Other Department representatives in ASC service include Dr. Roseann Wu, who was elected as Chair of the ASC Membership Committee and Dr. Cindy McGrath, who is a member of the Clinical Practice Committee. The ASC, founded in 1951, is a distinguished national professional society of physicians, cytotechnologists and scientists who are dedicated to the cytologic method of diagnostic pathology.
