Upcoming Personalized Medicine Conference

A number of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine faculty members will participate in a conference on personalized medicine, co-sponsored by Penn's Center for Personalized Diagnostics, in Phoenix in September. The conference will explore new technologies and therapeutic approaches that could transform patient management in the near future. Topics include biomarkers, stem cells and regenerative medicine, gene and cell therapy (Dr. Bruce Levine), cancer immunotherapy, cancer diagnostics (Dr. David Roth), personalized medicine and neurodegenerative disorders (Dr. Gerard Schellenberg), ethics in personalized medicine, the diagnostics-pharma convergence, cancer genomics, and bioinformatics.
