The Division of Precision and Computational Diagnostics (PCD) has a dedicated Research and Development (R&D) team which focuses on new clinical test development and revision/improvement of existing assays. The R&D team oversees test development for all four laboratories (Center for Personalized Diagnostics, Cytogenetics, Molecular Pathology, Rittenhouse Molecular Laboratory) within the PCD.
Dr. Yanxiang Deng has been named the 2023 Blavatnik Regional Awards Laureate in Life Sciences for his work on novel “spatial-omics” tools that provide unique insight into how cells behave relative to their location in a complex tissue.

Enrique Olguín-Martínez, PhD, a postdoctoral fellow in the Henao-Mejia lab studying how diet-induced inflammation promotes childhood obesity, has been named a 2023 Pew Latin American Fellow in the Biomedical Sciences. He will be mentored by an alum of the Pew Scholars Program in the Biomedical Sciences - Dr. Jorge Henao-Mejia.
